1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Groundwork ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Manning Stinson ("we," "us," "our") and is accessible at groundwork.money.

2. What Groundwork Is

Groundwork is a personal finance tool for budgeting, tracking accounts and loans, importing transactions, and flagging potential tax deductions. Groundwork is not a bank, broker, or financial advisor, and nothing in the Service constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice.

Deduction flags and category suggestions are generated by an AI model and are estimates only. You are responsible for verifying any deduction with a qualified tax professional before filing.

3. Accounts

You must provide an accurate email address and a password of at least 8 characters to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not share your account or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Your Data

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter or import into Groundwork. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service at scale
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Impersonate another person or create a false identity
• Use automated tools to access the Service in ways that exceed normal human usage

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Anthropic (AI categorization and deduction analysis), Resend (email delivery), and Stripe (payment processing). Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that budget suggestions, deduction flags, or category suggestions are accurate or complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Groundwork is not a substitute for advice from a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manning Stinson shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including any financial or tax decisions made based on information shown in the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Tulsa County, Oklahoma.
